Brecon Beacons - March 2013

Ralph, Bob and Peter drove there on Saturday. Simon drove me there early on Sunday and Ian and Mark arrived about 01:00 Monday morning!

This poor chap didn`t think he`d end his days in Wales.

The house.

An old farm we walked through.

One of the restored fireplaces.

Tree ferns nearby.

Meg, the owners lovely dog.

Setting off to the mountains in the background.

Snowing around us.

55 poppadoms, a record.

Long tailed titmouse

Bob skimming stones

A very mossy wood

Cloughie releasing some energy

A red kite.

A 7 photograph stitch.

An old stone circle.

Simon, enjoying the big sky.

Full on cooking! Is that the smoke detector I can hear?

The big oak near the house.

Birds gathered outside the house.

These were dropping-off as the sun melted them.

Bob being tortured by Ian playing...

One of the very best lunch stops.

Friday was our first and only wet day.

The Brinore Tramroad, from 1815, horse drawn trains moved coal from mines to the canal. You could still see the stone supports in the ground.

The little grab to stop the rails moving.

The Monmouthshire & Brecon canal.

I had to HDR these photographs...

Work in progress, keep checking...
